| The point about Pfizer is that while the price of the stock has languished for years, the company itself has been increasing in sales and earnings. Annual sales were $26B at the end of 2000, and they are $48B today. Earnings per share were $0.56 then and are $1.66 today. The stock price has gone down from $40 then to $27 today. So you are getting more for less money now. That's the definition of a bargain! | |
